19/May/2010 - Tigress killed by vehicle hit inside Bandhavgarh National Park On Wednesday, 19/May/2010, a tigress found dead close to water source by the tourists. At first, forest official said that it was due to conflict between tigers or due to illness. First rumor was spread of tigress was hit by safari jeep of some VIP Guests and it seems case is manipulated due to involvement of internal machinery of Forest Department. It seems Tigress was hit by Forest Department Jeep. In Postmortem report, it was revealed that cause of death is multiple injuries due to impact of vehicle. It has put pressure on forest department to find the truth and reveal the fact. About 13 safari jeeps have been detained and their driver & safari-guides are questioned and later all of them given clean-chit. Tigress was with 3 cubs of about 5 months old. They will be now shifted to enclosure in Magdhi Zone.
Here it is expected from local hoteliers, safari agents, wildlife photographers, wildlife conservationists to raise voice in favor of impartial investigation to bring the culprit/s to justice. 10/April/2010 - New generation of Tigers in Tiger Reserves of Madhya Pradesh.
New generation of tigers have been arrived in Tiger Country- India. In last 15 months, about 117 tiger cubs have been seen in 9 Tiger Reserves of India known for healthy tiger density and good sighting. Among them 44 cubs are from Kanha, Bandhavgarh & Pench Tiger Reserves of Madhya Pradesh State due to which, tiger sighting (of every age group) in summers is going great in early morning & evening hours of park safari.Currently, Tiger counting work is also going on in various tiger reserves of India, whose report is likely to come on table in the month of November, 2010.
