Welcome to Jabalpur “The land of Gondwana’s”. Jabalpur was the capital of Gond dynasty during the 12th century. During the 16th century it became the powerful states of Gondwana’s. It was also beleaguered by the Mughals and finally it was conquered by the Marathas in the end of 17th century. In world map, Jabalpur is in Madhya Pradesh State of India. 22/Aug/2011 - National Parks remain closed for Afternoon Safari on Every Wednesdays
When National Parks will open from 16/Oct.2011, Forest Department of Madhya Pradesh State has decided to close the National Parks for Afternoon/Evening Jungle Safaris on Every Wednesdays. So visitors are requested to consider this fact while planning their wildlife trip to Madhya Pradesh.

22/Aug/2011 - Tala Zone in Bandhavgarh & Kanha Zone in Kanha Park declared Premium Safari Zone
From 16/Oct/2011, government entrance fee for Tala zone safari will get doubled as Tala Zone is going to be declared as Premium Safari Zone. Similarly Kanha Safari Zone is also declared as Premium Zone and its entry ticket fee increased by 50%.

09/Sept/2011 - Air Taxi in Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh becomes first state in India having air taxi service between four important cities of state: Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore & Gwalior. Now visitors can reach Bhopal from Jabalpur within one hour. 12-Seater Air Taxi service is inaugurated by Chief Minister and is now operating successfully.

19/May/2010 - Tigress killed by Jeep hit in Bandhavgarh. Justice awaited...

On Wednesday, 19/May/2010, a tigress found dead close to water source by the tourists. First park officials blamed tourists for incident and later during investigation it was revealed that Tigress was hit by Forest Dept. Jeep. Tigress had 3 cubs of about 5 months old. Later one of her cub was killed by other tiger. Till now no justice was done. Local people knows but without evidence, nobody ready to speak out. JUSTICE STILL AWAITED...
